Intense and Constant Safeguarding Responsibilities
The Limes College is an Alternative Provision offering education for children from Reception through Year 11 in Sutton, Surrey. Working with up to 300 of the most vulnerable students in Sutton throughout the school year, The Limes College places safeguarding at the heart of everything they do.
On average, the school was processing 100-150 safeguarding concerns per day, each often requiring multiple actions. With such high volume, accurate, timely, and efficient information sharing was critical.
Inefficient Communication and Data Management
The Limes College relied heavily on email to share safeguarding information with offsite providers. This created serious obstacles in efficiency and accountability. Safeguarding data was scattered across multiple emails, making it difficult to quickly access information and accurately update reports.
Real-Time Updates
Safeguarding information from offsite providers now feeds directly into CPOMS, giving staff instant visibility and enabling faster interventions. This allows everyone to contribute directly, rather than relying on email to relay time-sensitive information.
Built-In Data Compliance and Security
Student data security and sensitivity considerations are built into CPOMS Engage. With Share Contracts, The Limes College can define who sees what data, for how long, and for what purpose, ensuring GDPR compliance and accountability.
Increased Visibility for Dual-Registered Students
CPOMS Engage provides the clarity and oversight that was lacking with an email-reliant system. With a single source of truth, staff are better able to track safeguarding concerns for pupils that attend more than one provision.
Since adopting CPOMS Engage, the Limes College has seen clear improvements in how it manages safeguarding and inter-agency collaboration:
