CPOMS has not replaced our safeguarding culture, it has strengthened it. Staff are able to act quickly, collaboratively, and confidently, leading to safer outcomes for our students.
- Charlotte Marsh, Deputy Head of Wellbeing & Safeguarding
As a full boarding and day school serving approximately 500 students on a 200-acre campus, Gordonstoun School manages safeguarding responsibilities around the clock. While its previous wellbeing reporting system supported a strong safeguarding culture, school leaders identified opportunities to improve visibility, consistency, and follow-up across safeguarding records.
CPOMS StudentSafe helped Gordonstoun build on its existing safeguarding practices by improving access to information, accountability, and oversight across the school. Several initiatives made a difference:
Since implementing CPOMS StudentSafe, Gordonstoun has improved consistency in how concerns are recorded, reviewed, and managed. Staff can access the information they need more efficiently, safeguarding leads have clearer oversight of ongoing concerns, and administrative burdens related to follow-up have been reduced. The result is a more connected, child-centered safeguarding approach that meets the unique needs of a full boarding school.
