Strengthening data-led safeguarding across schools and trusts, supporting earlier interventions and improved student wellbeing
MAY 2025, UK — CPOMS, the UK’s leading provider of safeguarding software, has unveiled CPOMS Insight, a powerful new addition to its CPOMS StudentSafe platform.
CPOMS Insight brings school-level data from multiple sites into a single, comprehensive reporting dashboard to enable schools, Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs), and local authorities to align efforts and drive systemic improvements. The addition provides trust leaders with the critical information required to implement effective interventions and feeds into a unified, system-wide view of safeguarding trends and risks including insights into self-harm, bullying, and mental health.
By integrating seamlessly with CPOMS StudentSafe, CPOMS Insight empowers MATs to identify emerging issues more effectively, implement timely interventions, and make informed decisions that enhance student wellbeing at scale. With configurable analytics tools, leadership teams can design evidence-based strategies tailored to their students’ needs, providing sustained improvements in outcomes.
At the core of CPOMS Insight is its ability to dissolve data silos, unifying safeguarding concerns, incidents, and risk indicators across schools and agencies into one intuitive platform, and setting a new standard in Universal Safeguarding for multi-academy trusts.
By analysing patterns across large datasets, CPOMS Insight enables trust leaders to spot emerging risks early, often before they escalate into critical situations. Patterns that might remain hidden at the school level are revealed at a system-wide scale, enabling proactive interventions to safeguard vulnerable students and reduce long-term harm.
Rick Gardner, Managing Director of CPOMS, said: “Safeguarding teams are often held back by fragmented data, which can delay vital interventions. CPOMS Insight brings everything together, giving leaders clear, actionable intelligence to act sooner and protect more students. It’s a powerful step forward in delivering truly connected Universal Safeguarding.”
Chris Noell, Chief Product Officer at CPOMS said: “We engineered CPOMS Insight around the needs of leaders who oversee multiple schools or agencies. By providing clear, connected data and actionable insights, it empowers them to anticipate risks, make strategic decisions, and feel confident in their safeguarding actions.”
Future integrations with CPOMS StaffSafe and CPOMS Engage will unify safeguarding, behaviour management, and staff wellbeing data into a single platform. This will further expand the scope of Universal Safeguarding, enabling schools to meet statutory compliance while fostering safer and more effective learning environments.
